Jack Keslar, and Bruce Matthews are at it again. We are headed to Kansas were the giant whitetail roams, and usually dies of old age. Paradise Land & Cattle Co. Dr Fritz Farmers place. It will be the second year in a row that we have drawn a tag in heaven for whitetailed deer. The last time we were there we scored some giant bucks, Bruce took a 175 b&c with a broken Main beam. Can you amagine 175 with a broken main beam, that means over 200 inches of horns with all his points. That is pretty hard to beat. I promise we will try, and try hard. We get a little bonus, we get to trap some Bobcats while we are there. I can’t wait to get there. November 24-07 can’t get here fast enough………..will report our success later……

Report: trip summary : It was beyond our expectations for sure. Myself and Dr. matthews scored our first reo-grand gobblers, #2 we each took our share of wild ringneck pheasants.Three we each collected two huge whitetails, one 9 pointer that the good Dr. took at the mid 160s, mine was a perfect ten point in the 140s.. Each of the deer weighed in excess of 300lbs. Neddless to say we rebooked for next year before we left. The deer herd has been developed and maintained for over 15 years on this ranch. 4 bow hunters,2 blackpowder hunters, and 4 rifle hunters, get to sit in paradise Land and cattle co.ranches stands. That is it. That is why they have trophy deer in the 200pt class. It is a first class operation, and first class accomodations. Jack Keslar, Bruce Matthews, and Dennis Marcelli of the Wilderness wildlife Museum took a little trip to Mankins Ranch in Cambell county Wyoming. Date was Oct, 8 07/ Oct, 14 07. We were on a muledeer & antelope combination hunt. We were very successful. We each got a beutiful antelope All over 14 inches in length. Bruce harvested a nice 5×4 muledeer, and Dennis got himself a Big 4×4. You should see the pictures. I have been hunting with Bill Mankin for seventeen years now, and it seems to just get better. I was holding out for the really big one so left with out my muledeer. It is not the first time I have left some big deer get away. It was very nice to site see while we were in and out of the great state of Wyoming. We saw Mt. Rushmore,(In South Dakota), and the Devils tower(In Wyoming). Did you know the Devils Tower was the first U.S. National Landmark? Of course Tedddy Roosevelt was the driving force behind it. It is un-real to drive up to you can see it for thirty miles as you start towards it. Mt. Rushmore is one of the most majestic places on earth to see. Thank you Gutsom Borglum………
